Call Out Details:
2 males reported themselves lost after going up Scafell Pike. They had descended into Eskdale, having taken the Mickeldore path from the summit of Scafell Pike in error, and were attempting to get back to Wasdale. The Phonefind app put them at Quagrigg Moss, west of Scafell. The Team Instructed them to walk to Burnmoor Tarn via Oliver Gill, then turn north to Wasdale. They were relying on a phone for navigation , which ran out out of battery and signal. They had no torches.
Call Out Conclusion:
Wasdale team mobilised a search group which included Search Dog Jess to go and locate them on the likely route. Faint shouts heard whilst the search party were moving towards Oliver Gill. The mispers had gone round west side of tarn, and Jess found them from a long way away.
