All search dog teams take the opportunity to practise skills when they can, and recent snowfall made it possible for Rob Grange and his search dog Rona to get some avalanche search practice in. Rob came across some avalanche debris on Blease Fell, and buried an article in It. He then asked Rona to search for the scent, and this video shows the resulting search. Dogs can detect human scent up to 3 metres under the snow.
