If you’ve enjoyed reading about our work, then you might like to become a Friend of the lake District Mountain Rescue Search Dogs. By doing so, you are helping to support the work we do, and the training we offer to mountain rescue teams in the Lake District and its neighbouring areas. By making a small donation each month, you help to fund training, search dog insurance and veterinary support, and necessary equipment for handlers and dogs.

You receive a newsletter three times a year, the opportunity to attend an Open Day where you can meet dogs and handlers and watch them at work, receive a supporter car sticker. You are also able to come and meet  at our training weekends or evening training  by contacting us in advance.

If you are interested, the membership leaflet is reproduced here, and we’d really appreciate it if you would print it off, fill it in, and return it to us. This can be done either via email to friendssupport@lakes-searchdogs.org, or posted to ?

We can claim Gift Aid on any donations if donors  pay UK tax in excess of the amount they are donating. It makes a significant difference – 25% – to the value of any donation. In order for us to claim Gift Aid on your donations, it is essential that we have your full name and address including your postcode.
