Call Out Details:

This callout carries on from Incident 6. On the morning of 22nd, 7 rescue teams, with 4 Lakes dogs, and a dog from SARDA Wales who was visiting, set out to search for the missing couple again, aided by a Coastguard helicopter which lifted some personnel high up on the fell.

Call Out Conclusion:

After three and a half hours, a team member from Duddon & Furness MRT came across the couple in Eskdale. They had spent 14 hours huddled together in a bivvibag, before trying to find a way off the hill. The helicopter picked them up, and flew them back to Keswick where there were warmed up, fed and debriefed, before being given a lift back to the hotel.
