Call Out Details:

During the Kirkby Stephen training weekend, search dogs were requested by Patterdale MRT, to assist in the search for a 50 year old male who had fallen some distance into difficult ground in the area of Priests Hole, Dove Crag. Seven dogs responded, but only two actually made it to scene as the man’s body was located whilst they were en route.

Call Out Conclusion:

The casualty was located by a Patterdale Team member, with the assistance of the Coastguard helicopter's infra red camera. Unfortunately, the casualty had succumbed to multiple serious injuries. The two dog handlers who arrived, assisted with the evacuation of the casualty, the other search dog teams were stood down.
