Call Out Details:
A Father and son from Manchester started late in the day, in conditions that steadily deterorated to climb the Pike. It got dark, they got lost, and requested assistance. Contact via phone was intermittent, and despite immediate response from Wasdale, Duddon, and searchdogs they were not turned up.
Call Out Conclusion:
In the morning teams from Wasdale, Duddon, Keswick, Langdale Penrith and Cockermouth teams, they did not appear till nearly lunchtime, when the two walked out to Boot in Eskdale, having managed to evade 70 rescuers and 5 searchdogs.
