Call Out Details:
A young overseas couple became lost whilst tackling a walk which followed the Rosthwaite - Grasmere section of the Coast to Coast route. They were ill equipped, and managed to walk in a circle bringing them back to above Stonethwaite, but above a steep drop. They called for help, and teams from both sides of Greenup Edge responded to locate them.
Call Out Conclusion:
They were found by a Keswick MRT member, who was accompanying a Search Dog handler, on the path up towards Lining Crag, cold, damp and forlorn. They were then walked down to Fairy Glen and evacuated by vehicle.
