Call Out Details:
A male walker separated himself from his walking group to continue to the top of Bowfell in poor conditions, despite the rest of the group turning back. Not surprisingly, without any of the necessary equipment, he got lost somewhere in the Ling Cove Beck area.
Call Out Conclusion:
The missing person was located by an outdoor group practising night navigation - probably the only people who might have found him that night. They escorted him down to the Wasdale side, and a Wasdale MRT group took him down to Eskdale. A vehcile from LAMRT then picked him up and gave him a lift back to Langdale.
