Call Out Details:
A couple attempting Scafell Pike from Seathwaite with a route which brought them down via Glaramara over-reached themselves, and were benighted somewhere between Allen Crags and the summit of Glaramara. The Team responded immediately, as the male in the party was a Type 1 diabetic who would be in need of medication. Difficulties with communication meant a search was necessary, although a rough position was established with SARLOC. Search Dog Isla and handler Martin Bell were despatched to locate the two.
Call Out Conclusion:
At about 0100, Search Dog Isla located the couple cold but well near to Lincomb Tarns after a strike of 300m in southwesterly wind. After a swift assessment, they were able to walk down to Mountain View with the support of Team members.
