A farmer reported hearing shouts for help in the vicinity of Carling Gill, near Tebay. Kirkby Stephen MRT were alerted, and requested the assistance of search dogs. One Kendal dog was able to attend and searched the area of farmland between the farm and the river, as well as some of the open fell, whilst members of Kirkby Stephen team

Call Out Details:
A farmer alerted the police about shouts for help, heard from the farm on the local fell. Visibility was very poor at the time. Kirkby Stephen and Penrith MRTs were mobilised, and requested the attendance of any local search dogs available. Only one Kendal dog was available, and went to assist, searching a large area of farmland, and part of the open fell, whilst the two teams searched areas round the farm and on to the fell.
Call Out Conclusion:
No-one was located, and no further shouts were heard. Quite possibly soemone who thought they were lost, but managed to find a way off. Logged as an alert with good intent.
