Call Out Details:
A couple from an organised walking trip failed to return to the booked transport and were reported missing in early evening. Patterdale MRT requested search dogs to assist in the search of the couple's route.
Call Out Conclusion:
They were found by a Patterdale team member on the slopes of Whiteside, severely hypothermic. One of the dog handlers, a paramedic, who was close by, assisted with stabilising the couple, and they were evacuated by Coastguard helicopter to the Cumberland Infirmary.
