Erin & Friends’ Cake Stall

Erin Bell (daughter of handler Martin Bell) along with 5 friends have been taking part in the National Citizenship scheme. As part of that, they chose to bake cakes and sell them for the benefit of Lakes Search Dogs. Erin (on right of picture) managed to negotiate the use of a garage right on a busy footpath, and they did a roaring trade, raising over £400 in 6 hours serving tea and cakes to lots of passing tourists. Search Dogs Isla, Rona & Beck, and their mate Safa (pet of Deb & Jim, regular dogsbodies) attended on behalf of the Association, and ensured that no crumbs were left on the footpath or anywhere else.
