Today we all have our fingers and toes crossed for Search Dog Roxy. She is currently having an operation on her cruciate ligament and is in surgery now.
Dog Handler Tom (Roxy’s owner) stated “Apparently these injuries can be acute (e.g. a bad fall) or can be degenerative – likely the latter, it can be genetic or infection or sustained usage, it could have been brought on by the Lyme’s disease.
Basically nobody knows but likely a genetic predisposition coupled with an athletic lifestyle”
